If you bought the key separately (normally called "retail") it can be transferred and installed anywhere (but only be installed on one PC at a time obviously). If you are converting a computer from a KMS host, MAK, or retail edition of Windows to a KMS client, install the applicable product key (GVLK) from the list below. If you have a OEM key it is only for that PC and isn't supposed to be transferable to another new computer. They may be linked to the original PC though.
